Our Vision for Ministry...
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that man has been reconciled in all of his broken relationships, not only spiritually but also psychologically, socially and environmentally. When we begin to understand that Christ’s work of redemption is to restore the whole of man, the implications of the gospel become vast. The church, whose mission it is to preach and show the gospel, is now required to engage in holistic ministry wherein which not only the ministry of the Word is taken seriously but the ministry of deed and mercy is also addressed.
Christians, therefore, are agents of mercy and reconciliation in this world, bringing the hope of the gospel to bear in all aspects of life. The dynamic of mercy ministry is rooted in the reality of the gospel. The grace shown to us by God in the person and work of Christ engages our hearts to respond to others in like manner: love, compassion, justice, service, etc.
Mercy ministry must not be a peripheral matter or an afterthought in the mission of the church, but a central component by which the church not only proclaims good news but also is part of the good news of what Christ has done, what he will do and even what he is doing presently.
We believe that by meeting the needs of our community we are winning the privilege of evangelism. Therefore we desire to find out what the needs of the orphans are and we are determined to find ways of meeting those needs, with primary emphasis in child education.
